Scientists used the Hubble Space Telescope to probe a quasar 2.5 billion light-years away. The images revealed mysterious 'blobs' of different sizes and an L-shaped filamentary structure near the black hole at the quasar's center.Hubble's data suggests that the black hole drives the quasar's brightness by devouring remnants of smaller satellite galaxies.Further study and analysis are needed to conclusively identify the blobs and structures observed.
