Google added a function to its Chrome browser called Scroll to Text Fragment (STTF) that allows URLs to link directly to any visible text on a page.
Most popular Chromium browsers like Edge, Opera, and Vivaldi have this feature as well.
Apple introduced the feature in Safari 18.2 where users can highlight specific text, right-click, and choose 'Copy Link with Highlight' to generate a URL.
The link can be shared with others, and when clicked, it takes them directly to the highlighted text on the webpage.
