Former Sony indie boss Shuhei Yoshida revealed that sequels to Soul Sacrifice and Freedom Wars were being developed before Sony shifted focus to the PS4 due to budget constraints.
Yoshida stated that due to the transition to PS4, the PS Vita missed out on further iterations of Sony's first-party IPs, with titles like Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Killzone Mercenary being exceptions.
Soul Sacrifice was released for the PS Vita in April 2013, and Freedom Wars launched in October 2014.
The information was disclosed during an interview with Sacred Symbols+ and reported by VGC.
