A LinkedIn study reveals that 75% of recruiting professionals in India anticipate skills-first hiring to be a priority for their companies in the next 18 months.
The report highlights a shift towards skills-based hiring, with recruiters being 50% more likely to search by skills than by years of experience.
However, recruiters currently face challenges in accurately assessing candidate skills, with only 62% feeling confident in their ability to do so.
Job candidates in India prioritize compensation at 53%, followed by opportunities to learn new skills, advancement, and job security, according to the LinkedIn survey. The study also suggests that the workforce's openness to new opportunities is increasing.
