<ul><li>Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS), nicknamed the "Great Comet of 2025," is currently the brightest comet visible from Earth this year.</li><li>Discovered on April 5, 2024, the nonperiodic comet reached perihelion on Jan. 13, 2025, and was at its brightest with a magnitude of -3.8.</li><li>The comet showed signs of disintegration but still displayed bright tails as it headed towards the edge of the solar system.</li><li>According to long-term orbital calculations, if the comet's remains survive, it is expected to be visible from Earth again in about 600,000 years.</li></ul>
