SpaceX, in partnership with Palantir and Anduril, has pitched a subscription model for U.S. President Donald Trump's Golden Dome for America.
The proposal includes deploying 400 to 1,000+ satellites for missile detection and tracking, along with a fleet of 200 attack satellites armed with missiles or lasers.
SpaceX's subscription model, where the government pays for access instead of owning the system, could enable faster deployment but may limit control over development and pricing.
The Pentagon is considering the proposal as it evaluates options for the Golden Dome program, positioning SpaceX as a significant player in Trump's missile shield vision.
