The International Space Station (ISS) had its orbit raised by the Progress 91 cargo craft to accommodate the arrival of the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft and its crew.
The Soyuz MS-27, carrying NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexander Zubritsky, will be launched on April 8 to begin an eight-month research mission.
Shortly after the new crew's arrival, NASA Flight Engineer Don Pettit will return to Earth with two Roscosmos cosmonauts, concluding their seven-month mission.
JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi will take over command of the ISS as Expedition 73 begins with the departure of the Soyuz MS-26.
