Stellantis and CATL have agreed to invest up to €4.1 billion to form a joint venture for building a large-scale LFP battery plant in Spain.The battery plant will be located in Zaragoza and is expected to start production by the end of 2026 at Stellantis's Zaragoza site.The plant aims to reach up to 50 GWh of annual capacity, depending on the EV market in Europe and support from authorities.The joint venture will enhance CATL's capability to supply European automakers and allow Stellantis to offer more electric vehicles in Europe.
