The New (Intelligent) Transformation: A Guide for AI Adoption

  • Integrating generative AI will enable companies to unlock potential and serve customers better in ways that were not possible before. Companies should start small in their intelligent transformation and focus on specific areas of their company first, i.e., verticals, instead of trying to rewire the entire company all at once. The best way to do this is by experimenting with generative AI tools that make employees better at their roles. Employees may be hesitant to be completely transparent about leveraging tools that make them much more efficient at their jobs hence mutual trust is essential on a company's transformation journey.
  • Phase 2 or Intelligent Transformation Walk phase is reached when the generative AI use cases that individuals have experimented with have been proven successful and have been operationalized across an organization.   • Newer companies and startups will move quickly through the phases of intelligent transformation as they are AI-native companes. The established companies must evolve methodically and rewire their DNA through incentive based sharing of ideas and learning about AI. The company leadership must establish trust and buy-in for this transformation journey.
  • An example of the product vertical scenario was used to describe how generative AI tools can be beneficial to industries like product management, engineering, and UX design. AI-driven insights can be used to launch hyper-personalized campaigns for each market segment, hence driving immediate growth.
  • At the early stages, companies must create opportunities for their employees and teams to use generative AI tools as a formal resource in their toolbox.
