Their collective wealth reached $86.8 trillion in 2023, driven by surging stock markets. The Nasdaq soared 43%, the S&P 500 rose 24%, while European indices also posted significant gains.
Economic growth and optimism in the tech market, particularly in generative AI, contributed to this wealth surge. However, rising wealth inequality prompts discussions on fair taxation, with calls for a global minimum tax on the wealthiest individuals.
