Japanese startup Exit offers a service where they will quit your job for you for a fee of 20,000 Japanese yen ($144).
The idea for Exit came about when cofounder Toshiyuki Niino faced difficulty quitting a job and felt pressured and guilty about leaving.
Exit receives around 10,000 inquiries each year, with most of their clients being men in their 20s who are afraid of their bosses or feel guilty about wanting to quit.
Japanese culture, with its emphasis on lifetime employment and the concept of "karoshi" (working oneself to death), often views quitting a job or not completing long-term commitments as a negative thing, contributing to the demand for Exit's services.
