US President Donald Trump has threatened a 50 percent tax on all imports from the European Union and a 25 percent tariff on Apple products unless iPhones are made in America.
Trump's trade threats come after his initial tariffs caused price hikes for American consumers and did not lead to desired trade deals or increased manufacturing in the US.
Apple considered moving iPhone production to India to avoid tariffs but faced backlash from Trump, who wants manufacturing in the US.
Trump has also threatened the European Union with a 50 percent tariff starting in 2025 unless products are built or manufactured in the United States.
