Chinese EV battery swapping stations provider U Power has installed the first of 55 smart battery swapping stations in Hong Kong as part of its plan.
U Power aims to create a battery-swap ecosystem to support the transition of Hong Kong's taxis, buses, and ferries to electric vehicles.
The company's UOTTA system offers automatic and cost-efficient battery swapping services, enabling the electrification of taxis.
U Power plans to introduce a Web3-based Battery Token for drivers to earn cryptocurrency tokens with each battery swap and expand its power-swap model globally.
