<ul><li>UBE's subsidiary, UBE C1 Chemical America, has started construction of a dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC) plant in Louisiana.</li><li>The plant will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of DMC and 40,000 tons of EMC derived from DMC.</li><li>Scheduled for completion in July 2026, the plant is expected to begin operation in November of the same year.</li><li>UBE's new plant will employ a gas-phase nitrite process to produce DMC, resulting in lower energy consumption, higher quality, and fewer by-products and impurities.</li></ul>
