The US Commerce Department has awarded Micron $6.1 billion subsidy from US Chips Act.Micron, an American memory maker, will receive funding for its Idaho and New York projects.The funding aims to support Micron's vision to invest $100 billion in New York and $25 billion in Idaho, creating 20,000 jobs.The US hopes to increase its share of advanced memory manufacturing from less than 2% to around 10% by 2035.
