Apple Vision Pro's visionOS will support brain-computer interface (BCI) input devices later this year, starting with Synchron's.
BCI devices will be supported via a new BCI HID protocol, part of Switch Control on iOS, iPadOS, and visionOS.
Other new accessibility features coming to Vision Pro include the ability to magnify passthrough and use on-device AI for describing, finding, or reading anything in view.
Synchron's Stentrode implant, inserted through the jugular vein, will be the first to support Apple's new protocol for BCI input on Vision Pro.
