<ul><li>Walmart is cutting more than 2,000 positions across five e-commerce fulfillment centers in the US to adjust its operations and better cater to online shoppers.</li><li>While some workers will lose their jobs, Walmart is also expanding in other areas and may reallocate some employees to different jobs.</li><li>The job losses at Walmart are significantly smaller than those at rival Amazon, which has announced further cuts of 9,000 jobs in addition to the 18,000 it has already eliminated.</li></ul>
