Samsung Messages is not being retired and is set to receive new updates to compete with Google Messages.
Recent discoveries in the app code suggest Samsung is committed to enhancing its messaging app with features like birthday reminders, live location sharing, emoji and sticker reactions, and integration with Now Brief for alerts about suspicious messages.
Although Samsung Messages was previously thought to be on the way out, recent developments indicate otherwise, with the app continuing to receive significant updates and improvements.
It remains to be seen if these new features will be officially announced by Samsung, particularly with the upcoming releases of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Flip 7 in July.
