The annual Amazon Web Services Inc. re:Invent conference will highlight advancements in cloud computing, agentic and generative AI innovation, chip technology and digital sovereignty.
SiliconANGLE Media’s theCUBE will provide a live and exclusive“Cloud AWS re:Invent Coverage” event from December 3 to December 6.
The conference will provide insight into the new stacks emerging as a result of AI, and focus on hardware, chips and agentic AI innovation.
The conference will also address important topics such as chip shortages causing problems for firms such as Amazon, which has more demand than supply.
TheCUBE Research Executive Analyst John Furrier said the event is a bellwether for the industry and will represent another layer of innovation.
Amazon.com has had a year marked by cloud growth, with strong growth seen in the company’s cloud and advertising businesses.
The company has stated that shareholders are happy it intends to invest more in infrastructure spending, particularly around generative AI.
Oracle is also now working with Amazon, with the companies forming a ‘strategic partnership’ to bring Oracle’s Autonomous Database offering to AWS.
Matt Garman, chief executive at AWS, has emphasised the importance of inference as the true “killer app” of generative AI and that it should be embedded in every application.
Additionally, Amazon has made a variety of project announcements such as introducing App Studio, which speeds up application development with AI, and launching Amelia, a generative AIpowered assistant for third-party sellers.
