Meesho has open-sourced its machine learning platform reacts in India.The platform is used by more than 2 million sellers and 160 million plus consumers.Meesho's ML platform handles cataloguing listing, pricing recommendations, ranking systems, fraud detection and user engagement.The company plans to open-source more components in the future, starting with its feature store.The feature store handles millions of requests per second and serves two trillion features per day.Model Inference serves over 500k requests per second in prediction.Meesho reduced the pod boot-up time from 6 to 7 minutes to just 10 seconds and reduced costs by 40%.Mukherjee hopes startups will adopt their platforms, reducing costs and production time, while benefiting from community feedback.Indian startups Zerodha, Flipkart, Swiggy, PhonePe, Zomato and CRED have public repositories on their GitHub page.Meesho joined the group of Indian startups by open-sourcing a part of its tech stack.Meesho benefits from open-source projects and now wants to give back.
