Nintendo has officially announced that the game cartridges for its upcoming Switch 2 console will be just as unappetizing as those of the original Nintendo Switch.
The cartridges are coated with denatonium benzoate, one of the most bitter substances in the world, to prevent accidental ingestion.
The bitter taste acts as a deterrent for small children and pets, making them instinctively spit out the cartridges if they are put in their mouths.
This safety feature aligns with Nintendo's commitment to user-friendly design and will be included in the Nintendo Switch 2, set for release on June 5th.
