<ul><li>Apple has introduced a new Brain Computer Interface protocol that allows patients to control their iPhone and iPad using their mind.</li><li>The protocol, called Brain Computer Interface (BCI), will be supported in iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, enabling users with compatible brain implants to control their devices through thoughts.</li><li>The brain implant options include Elon Musk's Neuralink or Synchron's Stentrode, which converts brain signals into onscreen actions without requiring physical movement.</li><li>Apple has partnered with Synchron to integrate this technology, enabling those implanted with Synchron's BCI to control Apple devices with their thoughts by late 2025.</li></ul>
