You’ll soon be able to control your iPhone and iPad just by thinking

- The protocol, called Brain Computer Interface (BCI), will be supported in iOS 19 and iPadOS 19, enabling users with compatible brain implants to control their devices through thoughts.
- The brain implant options include Elon Musk's Neuralink or Synchron's Stentrode, which converts brain signals into onscreen actions without requiring physical movement.
- Apple has partnered with Synchron to integrate this technology, enabling those implanted with Synchron's BCI to control Apple devices with their thoughts by late 2025.
