Develop Your Smart Factory or Industry 4.0 solution in Morocco with the Fez Smart Factory Competitions!
- The Fez Smart Factory (FSF) Competitions, launched as part of the FSF Ecosystem and led by the EuroMed University of Fes (UEMF), Morocco, is a competition for companies to become part of an all-in-one support zone for innovative activities.
- The competition aims to improve industrial productivity and other KPIs or develop new factories for innovative products, by implementing the principles, methods, and technologies of Industry 4.0.
- This year, the competition benefits from the support and sponsorship of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as part of a broader effort to support FSF and the whole Industry 4.0 ecosystem in Morocco.
- The Fez Smart Factory competitions invites applications from innovative companies to join one of the five components of the FSF Ecosystem such as Fez Smart Factory Incubator, Accelerator, R&D services, Engineering Services, and Business Center 4.0.
- FSF Ecosystem also comprises Spaces dedicated to setting up innovative industrial 4.0 units on a demonstration scale developed by startups, Rapid Prototyping Center, and Pilot School Factory 4.0.
- The competition is open to any innovative project, project holder, startup, or company, whether Moroccan or foreign, that has an eligible project aiming at developing a new innovative industrial unit.
- The benefits include access to a 20m2 office equipped with office furniture, conference rooms, and an exhibition hall that can host up to 300 people and gain access to experts, donors, investors, manufacturers, etc. based in Morocco.
- The focus areas for the Fez Smart Factory competitions are food, chemical and para-chemical, biomedical and pharmaceutical, metal, metallurgical, and electromechanical, renewable energy, textile and leather, and digital tech.
- The final deadline to submit the application form and all the administrative and technical documents to Fez Smart Factory is December 15th, 2024.
- The project received support from the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a U.S. government foreign aid agency, and is currently benefiting from assistance provided by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
