Cabinet paper on MLFF direction to be submitted in Jan 2025 – no more negotiations with concessionaries
- Deputy works minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan revealed that the cabinet paper on the multi-lane free flow (MLFF) toll collection system will be submitted in January 2025.
- The works ministry (KKR) has informed highway concessionaries that negotiations for the MLFF project will no longer proceed.
- The main challenge in implementing the MLFF system is finalizing its governance structure and obtaining approval from multiple parties.
- 13 out of 33 highway concessionaries have yet to agree to the implementation of the MLFF toll collection system.
