How to find an iPhone with Apple Watch

  • If you own an Apple Watch, it really is the fastest way to find your lost iPhone.
  • From your Apple Watch, click the side button to bring up Control Center. Tap the icon of an iPhone with sound waves coming out of it to ping your iPhone. It’ll make a pinging noise for about 10 seconds.
  • If you want some visual help, tap and hold that same icon. In addition to making the pinging sound, your iPhone camera’s flash will blink on and off. This can make it easier to find your iPhone, especially in the dark.
  • Open the Find Devices app on your Apple Watch to see all of your devices listed. Scroll until you see your phone to see its location on the map.
  • Alternatively, you can ping your iPhone from any other device using Apple’s Find My app.
  • If you’re borrowing a friend’s iPhone to find your lost device, tap Me > Help a Friend to sign into your own account.
  • You can mark a device as lost, get notified when you leave the house without it, and get directions to it.
  • Anyone in your Family Sharing group can ring your iPhone even louder with the Find My app. And if you don’t have a family, you can use any other device signed into your Apple account.
  • The Apple Watch also offer advanced options for tracking down your missing device.
  • With Find My app, you will be able to track your iPhone 11 or newer's location even if the device is turned off, even after it runs out of power (for a little while).

Pricey new charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods tempts with good looks [Review] ★★★★☆

  • The Journey Nova 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station is a distinctive-looking device that can charge an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. Its two-tone design with white plastic and 'wood grain' looks quite good among white and natural wood decor. At $139.99, this charging station is expensive but is functional and looks stylish.
  • The charging pad for iPhone doesn’t even have a target marking that says its a charger, which makes it a bit tricky to find. Although the faux wood finish adds a touch of warmth, it's synthetic. It’s an attention-grabbing statement piece that is pleasant to use and makes a distinctive addition to a minimalist workspace. It's easy to use, has fast charging for multiple devices, works on both iOS and Android products.
  • The charger's charging speeds are decent enough; that of iPhone is 15 watts of MagSafe level charging, whereas that for the Apple Watch and AirPods is 5 watts each. The wooden finish, design, and pricing might not be to everyone's taste. However, if you prioritize a clutter-free and trendy charging solution, the Journey Nova might be worth considering.
  • There is a 5W charging pad in the enclosure below, juicing up an AirPods wireless charging case, while a 5W Apple Watch charging puck is there at the back and can fold up. For those looking for a USB-C port for an extra device to charge via cable, the Nova doesn't offer one.
  • With a few pros and cons, the Nova becomes an eye-catching and efficient charging solution that blends functionality and appearance together. Purchasing consequences may vary among users because not everyone may like the unusual design and faux wood finish, whereas others may value a clutter-free, efficient charging solution that doesn't sacrifice style.
  • Overall, the aesthetic design and multiple fast charging capabilities on the Journey Nova make this wireless charging station an attractive addition to anyone's living space or office, provided that it fits into their budget and style.
  • Journey provided Cult of Mac with a review unit of the product, and the reviewer states that, after spending a week with the device, he appreciates its combination of functionality and appearance.

I already damaged my Apple Watch Series 10

  • The Apple Watch Series 10 uses a less durable protective shield for its display
  • The biggest compromise of the Apple Watch Series 10 is in the durability of the materials used in the build
  • The Apple Watch Ultra 2 features sapphire crystal glass on the front, a titanium frame, and a ceramic/sapphire crystal back. The Apple Watch Series 10, however, uses an aluminum frame with Ion-X glass on the front
  • The durability of the Apple Watch Series 10 was investigated to see if the cheaper option was worth considering
  • The titanium Apple Watch Series 10 costs almost the same as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and has a nicer sapphire display
  • The Apple Watch Series 10 is thinner, lighter, and more premium-feeling than the Apple Watch Ultra 2
  • The Aluminum entry-level Series 10 will most likely withstand anything you can throw at it
  • A bigger display, a thinner build and the use of Ion-X instead of the more premium Ceramic Shield glass in the Ultra 2 all lend themselves to lower durability for the Series 10
  • For durability, the titanium model of the Series 10 is the better option
  • AppleCare+ is a good alternative for those concerned with durability, with a fee of $79 per claim
