Windows 10 users who don’t want to upgrade to Windows 11 get new lifeline from Microsoft

Microsoft has introduced a wizard to assist Windows 10 users in staying secure as Windows 10 support ends on October 14 this year.
The wizard is part of Microsoft's Extended Security Updates (ESU) program providing security patches for one year after official support ends.
Windows 10 users have three options via the wizard to continue receiving updates: use Windows Backup, redeem Microsoft Rewards points, or pay a one-time fee of $30.
Personal computer ESU coverage lasts from October 15, 2025, until October 13, 2026, after enrolling through the wizard.
The enrollment wizard is currently available in the Windows Insider Program and will roll out to a wider user base in mid-August.

During the game jam in Korea, the team spent most of their time working on Peak, discussing ideas, and assembling makeshift workspaces at an Airbnb.
Despite the intense work environment, the developers found creating Peak to be the most enjoyable game development experience they've had.
