  • The jailbroken license plate can then be controlled through a smartphone app to display any characters or image.
  • The vulnerability exists at the hardware level, making it impossible to fix with a software update and requiring chip replacements.

Audi’s Q6 e-tron is an electric SUV that feels refreshingly normal

  • Audi's Q6 e-tron is an electric SUV with expected range of up to 275-321 miles with up to 270 kW DC fast charging.
  • The Q6 e-tron shares the PPE architecture with the A6 e-tron sedan, but with a different reconfigurable 'high-floor' version for good SUV proportions.
  • The interior offers a dashboard shaped around a curved display, also present in the A6 e-tron. The car will feature an Android-based MMI infotainment system.
  • The Q6 e-tron is aimed at the middle of the luxury market as an electric equivalent to Audi's bestseller, the Q5, and it faces competition from other EVs.
  • Audi expects up to 321 miles of range for single-motor models with the smallest available 18-inch wheels.
  • The Q6 e-tron is aiming to be a high-volume model and uses the PPE architecture which has an 800-volt charging hardware.
  • The Q6 e-tron starts at $65,095, offering a choice of all-wheel drive with other features at an equivalent sticker price.
  • The Q6 e-tron impresses with how well it understands the current luxury SUVs and offering a combination of range, charging capability, interior space, and design.
  • Acceleration is the only sporty thing about the Q6 e-tron, but air-sprung test cars suffered in ride-quality, making SQ6 e-tron barely distinguishable from Q6 e-tron Quattro.
  • The Audi's squared-off roof provides more rear-seat headroom, although legroom in that row is a bit less generous.
