Edible oil imports decline by 8.78% in the first 8 months of current oil year
- India's edible oil imports declined by 8.78% in the first eight months of the current oil year, according to data from the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA).
- India imported 92.08 lakh tonnes of edible oil from November to June in the oil year 2024-25, compared to 100.95 lt in the same period of the previous year.
- Imports of palm oil and sunflower oil decreased, while soyabean oil imports increased during the first eight months of the oil year 2024-25.
