Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27758 (Canary Channel)

- Overall, insiders will lose their Windows Hello pin and other biometric data when switching from the Dev Channel to the Canary level.
- It remains unclear how many Windows users are using the latest version or have plans to update, with a significant percentage of users typically sticking with systems a generation or more behind the curve.
- The demise of the much-maligned Internet Explorer web browser is chief among changes in its latest offering, with Microsoft Edge set to replace it as the default.
- The company is also introducing a new feature called 'snap layouts,' which will allow users to configure their desktop environments in different ways.
- Finally, as with previous Windows iterations, Microsoft continues to develop the OS with machine learning at its core.
