- Many people found it tedious to look through all the options Netflix has for their users, and that their suggestions weren’t organized in the most effective way.
- Current Netflix users also talked about how they usually navigate through and choose shows based on suggestions from close ones, rather than the in-app suggestions of film.
- Surprisingly, I was able to find quite a few people who have never used Netflix before. They all mentioned that they did not use Netflix due to its lack of variety.
- A solution was to create a feature where each user gets to create a username, in order to create a profile.
- Then the user will be able to share that username with their friends and follow each other.
- Each profile would also have the option to create their own Top 10 favorite film lists, only seen by mutually connected friends.
- This feature would be useful for instances where a user doesn’t want to look through the myriad of films in the home page.
- Instead of endlessly scrolling, even without specific suggestions, users could direct themselves to film-taste trusted profiles to find something to watch.
- These two new features on the app would be the only ‘social’ aspect of having profiles.
- The features do not include texting nor any way of giving reactions, to ensure that the focus of the app does not shift from movie-watching to texting your friends.

- Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks have been shut down by Microsoft, with the publisher citing a need to focus on “high-impact” games.
- Developers and fans alike are in disbelief, given that 2021 has been one of the worst years for cancellations, cuts, and closures in the gaming industry.
- Arkane Austin was set up in 2006 and helped create Dishonored and Prey. Tango Gameworks was founded in 2010 and is known for Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush.
- For now, great teams are sunsetting before our eyes again, and it’s a gut stab,” wrote Dinga Bakaba, director at Arkane Austin sister-studio, Arkane Lyon.
- Co-director on Redfall at Arkane Austin, Harvey Smith, called the news “terrible”.
- Adam Boyes, co-CEO at Iron Galaxy Studios, tweeted a screencap of Microsoft's profits, while MIkey Dowling at Obsidian tweeted, “Why do I still do this?”
