However, the skills are still valuable depending on the country prioritising new ventures. During the economic downturn, outcomes are a priority, which means that the function title is useless. It is imperative to speak in terms of outcomes that a skillset drives. Supplementing the existing skills with other functions and experimenting is necessary to find the value propositions and branding that work in the transitive period. If one can learn how to win in a market as equally filled with opportunity and shitty economic conditions, they can avoid a vulnerable position in the future.
- The current economic market is tough for those associated with innovation, and it feels like corporate venture builders are dying as corporates cut budgets for innovation. However, innovation is not inherently destructive, and innovation is like a mutated version of the Phoenix. Depending on the perspective and context, the functions can be useless or still valuable.
- In the economic downturn, output is not a priority, and outcomes are a priority. Therefore, it is necessary to speak in terms of the outcomes that the skill-set drives. It is crucial to supplement the existing skills with other functions and experimentation to find the value propositions and branding that work during the transition period. Pivoting into other functions can be beneficial, but it is contextual. During the transition period, experimenting is necessary to discover the copy that works. The skills that worked in the previous edition of innovation may not work now, and therefore, it is necessary to find out opportunities available in the market.
- LinkedIn is a landing page, and the function title for a job during this transition period is useless. During the transition period, there are no safety nets, and jobs are vanishing everywhere. Finding out what works through experimentation and failing can help in gaining valuable experience. Winning in a market, and understanding the skills needed to achieve the goals is vital.
