PSA: Older Apple devices will stop syncing Safari bookmarks on December 18

Apple devices running iOS 10 and older, as well as macOS Sierra 10.12.5 and older, will no longer be able to sync Safari bookmarks through iCloud starting December 18, 2024.
Users will not lose existing bookmarks or the ability to create new bookmarks on these devices, but new bookmarks will not sync across devices or be recoverable on iCloud.com.
To continue syncing bookmarks, users can update their devices to iOS 11 or newer and macOS Sierra 10.12.6 or newer. If devices are not compatible with the required operating systems, users are advised to export their bookmarks.
In addition to Safari bookmarks, older devices will also lose the ability to use iCloud Backup after December 18, requiring devices to be updated to iOS 9 or newer for backups.

'Control Ultimate Edition' Coming to Mac on February 12, 2025

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Ultimate Edition will launch on Mac on February 12, 2025.
The Ultimate Edition includes the base game alongside its two major expansions, "The Foundation" and "AWE," plus all post-launch updates.

Graykey, a forensics tool used by law enforcement officials to break into locked iPhones, has limited access to iOS 18 and iOS 18.0.1.
Most iPhones that run ‌iOS 18‌ or iOS 18.0.1 are listed as eligible for a "partial" unlock, though the iPhone 11 models can seemingly be unlocked in full.

How to see your calculator history on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

This tutorial covers several methods to check calculator history or copy previous results in the Calculator app on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It includes tips for stock Apple Calculator app and a couple of free third-party calculator apps.
iOS 18 now introduces a calculator history feature on the iPhone where you can see past mathematical expressions as well as results. The same can be found on iPadOS 18, allowing you to follow the steps to see past calculations and results on your Apple tablet.
In the Calculator app, you can reload the past calculation and use its result with a tap. You can also copy the result or the mathematical expression from the past history section. Additionally, you can delete single or multiple entries and even clear the entire calculator history.
To quickly copy the last result, you can touch and hold the Calculator app icon or the Calculator icon in Control Center and select Copy Last Result. You can paste the result into your Notes, documents, Messages, Mail with ease.
In the scientific layout of the iPhone or iPad Calculator app, you can tap the M+ key to save the result to memory and later recall this answer by tapping the MR button. There’s more to these M-series buttons, which you can learn in this 2-minute video.
Third-party calculator apps like Solves and Calculator with History+ display calculator history conveniently, while the Calculator+ app places it behind a history button. Once you start using them, you can add their buttons to the iPhone Lock Screen or Control Center for faster access.
Just like on the iPhone, the history feature can also be found on the Apple Calculator app on Mac. You can view the history section by clicking View > Show History or pressing the Control + Command + S keys.
Third-party apps like Solves, Calculator Plus, and NCalc can be used for calculator history on Mac. While Solves keeps your history forever, Calculator Plus deletes the history after you quit the app, and NCalc only shows the last 15 calculations in its free version.

Unread version 4.3 now lets users create custom article actions powered by Shortcuts app.
This functionality lets users build custom actions to send articles from Unread to any app.
Today marks the return of the Mr. Reader feature allowing owners create their own enhancements for RSS readers.
Custom actions can be added in the app’s preferences and will display in Unread’s context menu.
On devices with a keyboard, custom keyboard shortcuts can be defined to immediately trigger specific article actions.
Unread sends a custom JSON object to the Shortcuts app containing the selected article's URL, summary and title.
Shortcuts then parses this JSON input as a dictionary and users can work with these variables to connect them to whatever service or app they want.
An Unread subscription is required for custom article actions, costing $4.99/month or $29.99/year.
Additional features could be added to the variable list that Unread passes to Shortcuts, like publication date, author names and selected text.
