Microsoft will finally stop bugging Windows users about Edge — but only in Europe
- Microsoft is making changes for Windows users in the European Economic Area as a response to the Digital Markets Act.
- Users in the EEA now have the option to uninstall the Microsoft Store and avoid prompts to set Microsoft Edge as the default browser.
- Setting a different browser will pin it to the taskbar for EEA users, and default browser changes will roll out widely in July for both Windows 10 and 11.
