Dimitri Grinberg has successfully booted an up-to-date Linux on the Intel 4004, the first commercially available microprocessor from 1971.
He achieved this by writing a MIPS emulator for the 4004 and paring back the emulated hardware to interface with modern components.
The machine is slow, but the accomplishment showcases the detailed architecture of the 4004.
This is not the first time the 4004 has been used to emulate another system.

How to Stop Apple Music from Opening on Mac Randomly

Mac users are sometimes finding that the Apple Music app opens itself and starts playing music. There are two main reasons for this; firstly, if keyboard or Touch Bar buttons are accidentally pushed, such as play/pause or skip, Apple Music can open. Additionally, connecting Bluetooth devices, including headphones and earbuds, often leads to the app opening.
Though the autoplaying of Music app on the Mac tends to be an intentional feature, there are different solutions to prevent or stop it happening. One option is NoTunes; an app that prevents Apple Music/iTunes from launching, and instead asks which alternative app you would like to use. Another is Music Decoy, which occupies the place of Music app, meaning it won’t launch, even if Play is pressed. A more extreme approach is to delete the app from /Applications.
Finally, users can simply avoid pressing the media buttons on their keyboard or Touch Bar, and avoid connecting any headphones or Bluetooth devices to the Mac which can prevent any ill-timed auto-playing. Autoplaying music isn’t just an issue on the Mac either; iPhone users have long complained about their device’s app starting when connecting up to car Bluetooth stereos, while HomePod and HomePod mini users can find that music starts when the top of the device is accidentally touched.
