AWS has added support for What’sApp to AWS End User Messaging. This feature integrates with SMS and push notifications already available. Amazon Redshift data sharing with data lake tables offers a secure and convenient way to share live data lake tables across different Amazon Redshift warehouses. Zonal shift and zonal autoshift for cross zoned Network Load Balancer offers a shift in traffic away from an impaired Availability Zone and recover from events. Console to Code making it simple, fast, and cost-effective to move from prototyping in the AWS Management Console to building code for production deployments. AWS Lambda detects and stops recursive loops between Lambda and Amazon S3. Amazon MemoryDB for Redis is a fully managed, Valkey– and Redis OSS-compatible database service, which provides multi-AZ durability, microsecond read and single-digit millisecond write latency, and high throughput. New synthetic generative English voices have been added to the Amazon Polly portfolio. Several events will be held where attendees can check the agenda for events, workshops, and meetups.
Last week, AWS hosted free half-day conferences in London and Paris where developers can use generative AI tools to speed up their design, analysis, code writing, debugging, and deployment workflows.
Veliswa demonstrated a live-coded a Duolingo-like app from scratch, just using suggestions and reviews from Amazon Q Developer.
This week Amazon Polly added four new synthetic generative English voices to the Amazon Polly portfolio namely Olivia, Joanna, Danielle, and Stephen.
AWS Cloud Day Prague is going to be held on October 23. AWS Innovate is a free online conference scheduled on October 15 in North America and on October 24 in Europe, Middle East & Africa.
AWS re:Invent 2024 conference is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas from December 2-6.
The AWS Community Days will held in Vadodara, Spain, and Guatemala on October 19.
Console to Code is powered by Amazon Q Developer.
AWS Lambda recursive loop detection can now automatically detect and stop recursive loops between AWS Lambda and Amazon S3.

Massive M4 MacBook Pro leaks have been ‘confirmed’ to be true

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has confirmed leaks of the upcoming M4 MacBook Pro as authentic.
Gurman writes that he has sources deep inside Apple and that the specifications and internal model numbers align with what he's been hearing.
Leaked images suggest the base model will feature an M4 chip, 16 GB of memory, 512 GB of storage, and three Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The base model also appears to come in Apple's SpaceBlack colorway.
The confirmed leaks represent good news for consumers, but not for Apple, which has never suffered a major leak like this before.
The scale of this breach comes with 200 units of the M4 MacBook Pro reportedly up for sale and multiple posts by various Russian YouTubers.
Despite doubts about the leaked MacBooks, Gurman reports that he is convinced that the laptops are authentic due to the verification of his sources.
Gurman speculates that these laptops may have been stolen in Europe before being sent to Russia.
Gurman believes that the M4 MacBook Pro will hit store shelves on November 1.
We cannot confirm the authenticity of the leaks, but Gurman's endorsement makes them a likely possible outcome.

AMD Ryzen 9800X3D benchmark leaks could disappoint PC gamers – but let’s not rule out this CPU just yet

The AMD Ryzen 9800X3D processor may not offer a significant improvement in gaming performance as previously suggested by leaks.

Lambda Performance Evaluation: The Relationship Between Memory and Internal vCPU Architecture, and Their Comparison

Lambda functions are billed only for the time it actually runs. Increasing the memory also boosts CPU performance, but this raises the cost.
Many of you might have adjusted the memory allocation while monitoring the execution time.
AWS Lambda has a billing unit of 1 millisecond.
Based on the tests conducted, single-task and multi-thread operations seem to only utilize a single core internally.
From these results, we can see that increasing the number of processes beyond the number of vCPUs does not lead to further performance improvements.
Since Lambda’s current limit is 6 vCPUs, there isn’t much benefit in parallelizing beyond that.
AWS Lambda can now be expanded to up to 10GB of memory and 6 vCPUs.
Once CPU performance reaches a certain level, additional vCPUs are assigned.
With the recent update, there are cost benefits to pushing performance limits further.

Leaked MSI presentation shows that Ryzen 9000X3D may fail to impress

A leaked MSI presentation suggests that the upcoming Ryzen 9000X3D processors may not bring significant improvements compared to their non-3D counterparts.
Gaming tests show that the Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs had a 2-13% performance increase in three tested titles.
