How to check your GPU temperature

It is important to periodically check the temperature of your gaming PC’s graphics card, also known as a GPU, to ensure it has a long life.
This article shares the easiest tool to check your GPU’s temperature in Windows 10 – by firing up Windows Task Manager and jumping to the Performance tab.
However, for a more accurate reading, you can use the Nvidia driver’s overlay or AMD’s in-game overlay for monitoring hardware, or tools like HWiNFO, MSI Afterburner, and Evga’s Precision X1.
One can run Furmark, a synthetic test, to ensure whether their GPU’s cooling solution is adequate. It tests a GPU’s clock speeds, temperatures, and more.
Most graphics cards have a target temperature of about 82-85 degree Celsius, meaning they’ll overclock until they reach that temperature or have reached their maximum overclock.
If temperatures are not right, you may want to check whether there is enough airflow in your case, whether the dust filters have been cleaned, or whether the GPU’s heatsink has dust buildup.
Bad contact between the GPU’s cooler and the GPU’s core may also be a potential reason for high temperatures. Thermal grease degrades after about two years and may lead to significant performance loss if not replaced on time.
Disassembling a GPU is a specialist procedure and is best done by someone with an affinity for electronics.
If you are planning to overclock your graphics card, rely on the best GPU overclocking tools to keep the process simple and your GPU temperature fully monitored.

I’m worried Apple will skip its October event – here’s what that means for the M4 MacBook Pro

Apple may not hold an October event to introduce its new products according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman.
Gurman stated that Apple will “announce” the Macs and iPads in October without mentioning the occurrence of an event.
It is unknown how the announcement will be made, which could lead to the possibility of products being revealed in a set of press releases.
