How to Create Virtual Machines: A Step-by-Step Guide

  • Virtual machines (VMs) make maximum use of the hardware resources, such as CPU, memory, and storage, on a single physical server by enabling the simultaneous operation of several operating systems and applications.
  • Because of their isolation, virtual machines (VMs) are perfect for testing or executing potentially dangerous software without impacting production environments.
  • VMs provides easy backup because it allows you to take snapshots of the system state at any point in time.
  • Creating a Free Trial Account in Azure provides a subscription and $200 Azure credits.
  • Creating and managing virtual machines is a crucial skill for system administrators, developers, and IT professionals.
  • With the use of virtual machines, multiple workloads can be operated on fewer physical servers which lowers the cost of hardware, power consumption, cooling requirements, and physical space in data centers.
  • Follow the given steps in order to create a virtual machine in Azure- start by creating a free trial account, login, search for virtual machines, select virtual machine, and start the creation process.
  • Provide information about your virtual machine, such as the operating system, size, and other configuration settings.
  • Once the virtual machine is deployed, download the RDP file and open it using admin details created during the VM setup to start using the VM.
  • Virtual machines provide flexibility, efficiency, and scalability for both testing and production environments.

The Asus ExpertBook P5 proves Lunar Lake laptops aren’t created equal

  • The Asus ExpertBook P5 is one of the first Lunar Lake machines on the market, and it’s a business laptop. The ExpertBook P5 starts at $1,100, which includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V chipset, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch QHD+ IPS display. In terms of build quality, the ExpertBook P5 can meet MIL-STD 810H military tests well-built laptop, but it has some flex in the keyboard deck. The webcam is a 1080p version and provides a good enough image for videoconferencing. The ExpertBook P5 and the Zenbook S 14 with the Core Ultra 7 258V sit close to the middle between the Core Ultra U and H Meteor Lake chipsets. The ExpertBook P5 wasn’t as impressive as the Zenbook S 14 in our battery tests. The ExpertBook P5's display is QHD+ (2560 x 1600) IPS panel that runs at a blistering 144Hz. The ExpertBook P5’s display is more than good enough for productivity users.
  • Asus’s ExpertBook P5 isn't as fast as we hoped, and it doesn't last nearly long enough. The ExpertBook P5’s battery life was disappointing, which is the whole purpose of Intel's new chipset. Its keyboard is a standard island layout, with black keys sporting highly visible and bold lettering and backlighting. Its touchpad is mechanical, and it’s large enough, but the button clicks are quite harsh and loud. The webcam provides a good enough image for videoconferencing. The ExpertBook P5 is not particularly thin or light, compared to comparable 14-inch laptops. The ExpertBook P5 is a very conventionally designed 14-inch laptop with a dark gray color scheme and minimalist lines.
