Acer made an 11-inch handheld gaming PC, and it’s the craziest thing I’ve seen at CES

Acer Nitro Blaze 11, an 11-inch handheld gaming PC, is set to hit store shelves this year.
It comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS chip, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and up to 2TB of storage.
The 10.95-inch WQXGA touchscreen display has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Acer also has the Nitro Blaze 8, an 8.8-inch model, with identical specs and features.

Acer’s latest Predator gaming laptops include RTX 50-series GPUs

Acer has announced three new Predator gaming laptops at CES 2025.
All three laptops feature NVIDIA RTX-50 series GPUs.
The top-tier model, Predator Helios 18 AI, comes with an 18-inch 4K Mini LED display, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, up to 192GB of RAM, and up to 6TB of PCIe storage.
The other two models, Predator Helios 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, have similar features but with smaller displays and lower memory capacities.

Acer unveils it’s insanely sharp 5K gaming monitor

Acer has unveiled its 5K gaming monitor, featuring a 31.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 5120 x 2880.
The monitor has a pixel density of around 186 pixels per inch, making it sharper than most 4K monitors.
It also features a 144Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync Pulsar tear technology, and is set to launch in Q3 of this year.

Nvidia CES 2025 Keynote live blog: all the latest on the RTX 5000 reveal and more

Nvidia has officially revealed its next-gen consumer graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 5000 series.
The highly anticipated announcement of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5000 series graphics cards, including the GeForce RTX 5090, has been released.
Nvidia's Lovelace GPUs are going to be replaced by the Blackwell-based RTX 5000 series. The RTX 5080 will be 10 percent faster than the RTX 4090, with the RTX 5090 being even more powerful and featuring 32GB GDDR7.
The RTX 5090 is the world's first 8K gaming graphics card.
Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote introduced the RTX 5070 at $549, RTX 5080 for $999, RTX 5070 Ti for $749, and RTX 5090 starting at $1,999.
The RTX 5000 series will be available starting in January. Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 series mobile GPUs are also coming, with the RTX 5070 mobile featuring RTX 4090 performance.
Nvidia unveiled the Cosmos system, which can generate new data that can be trained into models to help artificial intelligence continue to develop.
The company showcased several AI applications, including virtual humans and autonomous vehicles, and talked about data center AI and Omniverse stuff.
Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote is significant, as it's been more than two years since Nvidia released its last flagship desktop GPU, and anticipation has been building for some time.
Nvidia RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti laptops will be available starting in March.

Cherry’s CES 2025 offerings aren’t all for keyboard nerds

Keyboard company Cherry unveiled its latest gaming and office keyboards at CES 2025.
The gaming keyboards include the XTRFY MX 8.3 TKL with high polling rates and a display, priced at $300, and the XTRFY MX 10.1 Wireless, a low-profile option priced at $280.
For office use, Cherry introduced the KW 300 MX, a hot-swappable keyboard with a 1000Hz polling rate. The KW 550 MX LP is a low-profile variant. The prices for these models are $110 and $120, respectively.
The KC 500 MX LP and KC 500 MX LP TKL are quieter options for office use, priced at $100.

AWS Glue has evolved into a powerful tool for building scalable ETL solutions, but managing Glue jobs manually can be a pain point.
Using AWS CDK in combination with GitHub and CI/CD workflows has made deploying Glue jobs faster, more reliable, and far less error-prone.
To ensure consistency and collaboration across the team, a structured development workflow is followed integrating tools like Jira for task tracking and integrated with GitHub to map tickets to git branches.
Each component folder contains sub-folders for configuration files and Python-based Glue scripts. AWS CDK stacks are used to define Glue jobs for each component.
Separation of default and custom configurations gives flexibility to manage AWS Glue jobs efficiently.
Using a CI/CD-driven workflow for deploying AWS Glue jobs has significantly improved deployment process and reduces the chances of errors.
Every change is traceable, reviewable and deployed consistently across the environments.
The workflow works well for the author, but the workflows evolve with the project goals and requirements.
