Nvidia might finally fix its VRAM problem — at a cost

Nvidia may address its VRAM problem by introducing 24GB VRAM in the RTX 5090 laptop GPU.
However, these laptops might not be released as soon as expected.
The delay could be due to Nvidia's plan to use newer GDDR7 memory modules for the RTX 5090.
Desktop versions of RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 are expected to be launched first, followed by RTX 50-series laptops with 2GB VRAM.

Google looks to be fully shutting down unsupported extensions and ad blockers in Chrome – which might push some folks to switch to Firefox

Google is testing the removal of unsupported extensions including ad blockers in its Chrome browser.
The change affects Manifest V2 browser extensions, which are not supported by V3.
Currently, users can still use V2 extensions, but will receive warnings against doing so.
In the latest Canary build of Chrome, the switch to use a disabled V2 extension is now greyed out.
Users can no longer make the decision to enable certain extensions for Chrome.
Instead, you can bin the extension or find an alternative, such as "Lite" versions now being offered, such as uBlock Origin Lite.
The change is currently testing and may not ultimately make it to production.
Google is serious about ousting ad-blockers from its browser, particularly those with fuller (V2) levels of functionality.
This shift may prompt users to consider switching to a browser like Firefox, which has vowed to continue support for V2 extensions.
Google is adopting Manifest V3 for better security, performance, and other benefits.

Apple MacBook Air M4: news, rumors, and everything we know

Apple may possibly reveal a new M4 MacBook Air model this month, either the 13-inch or 15-inch, or possibly both.
The MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops globally.
Apple has shipped different MacBook Air models in a single year before; hence it's possible that they might release the M4 quickly.
There's no official release date yet, but Ross Young said panel shipments for the MacBook Air M4 would start this month.
Apple plans to launch the MacBook Air M4 refreshes of its 13-inch and 15-inch models in Q1 of 2025.
According to Mark Gurman, we could see new MacBook Air M4 launches in early 2025.
