Windows 11 adoption has been steadily increasing, surpassing Windows 10 in the hardware survey.
Gamers are migrating to Windows 11 due to the upcoming retirement of Windows 10 and the availability of free installation with security updates.

Apple delays cheaper Vision Pro beyond 2027 – Ming-Chi Kuo

Apple has postponed plans to create a more affordable Vision Pro headset until beyond 2027. As a result, the only new head-mounted display from Apple expected in 2025 is an updated Vision Pro. The company requires successful use cases to help support the Vision Pro gadget in a similar vein to the HomePod situation. If successful, the updated processor may have great appeal to the market given the increased power over the current model. It is anticipated that the “affordable” pricing of any new product from Apple will still be more expensive than its competitors. Like the Vision Pro device, the current HomePod speakers have failed to move mainstream.
Apple has committed significant investment to satellite technology, including up to $1.5bn in Globalstar.
Major Apple Intelligence features will be launched in tandem with operating system updates in early December. These are unlikely to drive significant growth in the December quarter, disappointing the 'iPhone supercycle' camp.
The Pixelmator Team has agreed to be acquired by Apple after regulatory approval.
Apple’s spatial computing endeavor is taking time with the Vision Pro currently only utilized as a devkit for developers.
The company is playing catch-up to rivals, particularly Microsoft, in generative AI, a technology for which they relied too much on the Vision Pro.
Apple is investing heavily in the replacement of leather with sustainable alternatives for goods such as iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands.
Apple is also heavily promoting DEI initiatives capped by the company’s commitment to building an inclusive future.
A host of other “initiatives,” including ongoing contribution to environmental sustainability, also has the backing of CEO Tim Cook, despite complaints about sluggish innovation in recent times.
The demise of the rumoured Apple Car project, in which Cook had invested significant amounts of time and effort, forced the development and release of the Vision Pro device, a beta (alpha?) devkit that must appeal to Apple’s developers if it is to reach the mass market.

Apple will finally begin delivering major Apple Intelligence features in early December with the release of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2.
